Reports to: Communications Director

Status: Full-time, Exempt

Salary Range (annual): $85,000 - $110,000

Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.- 5 p.m. Pacific Time

Location: Veloz is based in Sacramento, California. This is a 100% remote work position in the U.S. with a prioritization given to candidates based on the West Coast. Travel within and/or to California and nationwide is expected up to 5% annually.

Veloz is the power behind the nation’s largest and most inventive multi-partner education campaign for electric vehicles, the architect of events and programming garnering national attention, and the organization bringing together a high-powered, diverse Board of Directors, Public Policy Board and members from the public and private sectors.


Opportunity and Position Description

In this position, the Content Marketing Manager is part of a passionate and collaborative organization that is changing the conversation about EVs nationwide by sparking a virtuous cycle of consumer awareness and demand. Veloz plays a unique and important role in the national EV landscape, and now is the time to take our efforts to an exponentially more impactful level. This requires a clear and inspiring vision, sophisticated strategies, significant and sustained financial support, and smart implementation. 

Reporting to the Communications Director and partnering with the Veloz team, the Content Marketing Manager leads Veloz’s industry-facing and consumer facing social, newsletter and digital content across several platforms. This focus may require the ability to develop design assets. This individual plays a critical role in making the electric for all vision a reality by executing aspects of a comprehensive communications and marketing strategy to raise awareness of Veloz and Electric For All, developing and delivering high-quality and high-value content and working alongside the Communications team to manage aspects of our industry-focused and consumer-facing communications efforts. In addition, this individual will provide a supporting role to communications leadership on day-to-day communications activities

Job Duties
Social Media Marketing

  • Develop and maintain a social media calendar with strategic content, posts and analytics.
  • Post content, manage and maintain all social media profiles for Veloz and Electric For All, growing our online presence and influence.
  • When applicable, Work with Veloz’s agency contractors to develop organic social support.
  • Manage and produce user generated content, and community management for both Veloz and Electric For All social channels
  • Actively participate in Veloz and Electric For All events by attending and developing social media activities and post-event messaging.

Content Creation & Marketing

  • Create and deploy strong written and visual communications to generate timely content and updates for newsletters, both websites, social media, reports, and other materials distributed across Veloz and Electric For All marketing channels — including layout/design elements and A/B testing.
  • Provide event support via communications channels including, but not limited to digital asset creation, updating events on Veloz.org, and creating social media posts and graphics.
  • Research and implement content marketing and social media strategies to increase our reach and impact, while being responsive and timely to trends, current news, member messaging and developments with social media posts.
  • Develop and produce an inventory of visual assets, including photos, videos and branding.
  • Ensure that the Veloz and Electric For All brands/tone are consistent across all media.


Audience Growth & Engagement

  • Work with the communications team on a data-informed strategy to grow the Veloz and Electric For All social media channels and newsletters, while increasing website traffic and conversions on Veloz.org and ElectricForAll.org.
  • Manage, maintain a record of engagement and growth across all social media platforms for Veloz and Electric For All.
  • Manage and update Veloz and Electric for All email database including press, members, business development leads, event attendees, etc.
  • Analyze and present metrics for Veloz and Electric For All newsletters, social media channels and website to the team to help ensure a continuous virtuous cycle between our programs and our marketing efforts.
  • Engage with contact form outreach from both ElectricForAll.org and Veloz.org by responding to questions, recommending Veloz’s tools and services, and pointing people toward resources.

Additional Support

  • Provide day-to-day support to the communications leads.
  • Be available to support presentations and other materials supporting member engagement as needed.
  • Manage social media and design-related vendor contracts and process invoices as needed.
  • Be available to participate in key industry conferences, workshops and seminars, creating assets and activations on behalf of Veloz when appropriate.
  • Promote a culture of collaboration, communication, creativity with high performance standards along with, continual learning and a commitment to excellence.
  • Support the team in creating and ordering Veloz swag as needed for in-person events and other Veloz needs.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in marketing, communications, social media management, digital content, or a related field.
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, website management, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
  • Proven track record of creating and executing content creation and marketing strategies that grow brand awareness and audience engagement.
  • Strong written communication skills, including experience with email marketing, website content, social media content, and other marketing materials.
  • Understanding of social media platforms (LinkedIn, X, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok) and how to tailor content to different audiences.
  • Proven project management skills, including timeline management, content planning, vendor coordination, and execution of marketing initiatives.
  • Highly collaborative work style with the ability to partner across teams and operationalize strategy.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, customer service orientation, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Technologically savvy with experience using digital platforms to support marketing and communications efforts.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of the electric vehicle industry (or related sectors such as clean transportation, sustainability, or clean energy).
  • Mastery of relationship-building skills with external stakeholders including public agencies, government regulators, Fortune 500 companies, startups, and nonprofits.
  • Proficiency with WordPress, Framer, Outlook, Zoom, Dropbox, Microsoft Office Suite, Mac OS, Google Analytics, Mailchimp, Sprout Social, and Slack.
  • Familiarity with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud or Canva.

The annual salary range for this position is commensurate with experience.
