Remote container logistics refers to the management and coordination of shipping containers and their movement across the supply chain using digital tools and remote communication. This job typically involves tracking container locations, arranging shipments, communicating with carriers and clients, and resolving issues from a remote or home-based setting. Professionals in this field use specialized software to optimize routes, reduce costs, and ensure timely delivery, all while collaborating with global partners without being physically present at ports or warehouses.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in remote container logistics, and why are they important?

To thrive in Remote Container Logistics, you need strong organizational skills, knowledge of supply chain management, and familiarity with international shipping regulations, often supported by a degree in logistics or a related field. Experience with transportation management systems (TMS), container tracking software, and digital documentation platforms is typically required. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and multitasking abilities help professionals manage complex logistics remotely and coordinate with global partners. These skills ensure efficient movement of goods, minimize delays, and maintain seamless supply chain operations across long distances.

What are some common challenges faced by professionals in remote container logistics, and how can they be addressed?

One of the main challenges in remote container logistics is coordinating shipments and tracking containers across multiple time zones and locations without direct, on-the-ground oversight. Communication with global partners and clients can sometimes be delayed due to time differences and digital barriers. About the team
Only US Citizen

We know that technology can connect, empower, and drive us. We’re making networking easier, faster, and smarter with technology that simply works. We maintain a positive relationship with our main group that gives us the stability and resources of a larger company without sacrificing our startup vibe.
As a member of the Dashboard Build team, you will provide logistical support for our cloud development organization, focusing on functionality, simplicity, scalability, reliability, and availability of our build systems. Youre driven by a strong desire to improve developer happiness, always keeping an empathetic ear out for developers’ day-to-day experience with tools and workflows, while finding ways to improve these. Youll make incremental changes to quickly get a developer unstuck, as well as propose and implement longer term changes that reduce technical debt, accelerate developer productivity, and anticipate future needs. We are stewards of the outer loop, striving to enable our developers to ship quality features, with confidence.
The Dashboard Build team supports our FedRAMP Moderate environment, and we are building on that foundation for U.S. federal and defense customers with FedRAMP High and DoD Impact Level 5 (IL5) requirements. That means designing systems that are scalable, reliable, auditable, and simple to operate under a high bar for security and compliance. We’re looking for a technical lead who thrives in high impact, high visibility projects, with an excitement to tackle complex problems and collaborate across teams.

This role supports U.S. federal cloud environments governed by federal customer and contract requirements. To comply with requirements applicable to this role, the successful candidate must be a U.S. Citizen and must perform work for this role from within the United States.
This requirement is specific to this role’s federal work and is not a general for hiring preference.
What you will do

  •  Design, implement, and operate build and deploy systems, to meet FedRAMP High and IL5 requirements, with a focus on scalability, availability, product quality, and developer experience
  • Translate security and compliance requirements into implementation: access control, audit logging, secret management, vulnerability response, and evidence collection.
  • Work closely with product engineering teams to monitor and maintain build health, velocity, and accuracy,
  • Collaborate with the SRE team to ensure scalability and availability of build systems
  • Prevent, predict, and respond to issues, coordinating the triage and remediation efforts across the product teams
You are an ideal candidate if you
  • Have 5+ years of relevant experience in development, build, and release engineering
  • Have experience with the development of modular build systems and tools for a scalable continuous infrastructure that provides a streamlined developer experience
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, TeamCity, GitHub, Buildkite, CircleCI, and/or RWX
  • Experience with distributed version control systems such as Git, GitLab, and/or GitHub
  • Experience with the use of containers in a build environment, and tools such as AWS, Artifactory, Docker, and/or Kubernetes
  • Experience with Linux and open-source software
  • Strong scripting knowledge using Shell, Groovy, Ruby, or similar scripting languages
  • Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and React toolchains and pipelines
  • Experience with Ruby on Rails and RSpec pipelines
Bonus points for
  • Experience with data collection, parsing, and visualization tools such as the Elastic Stack and Grafana
  • Experience with FedRAMP Moderate/High, DoD IL4/IL5, FISMA, GovRAMP (formerly StateRAMP), or similar regulated environments
  • Experience building or operating software in AWS GovCloud, Azure Government, or other isolated cloud environments
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code, secrets management, service mesh, zero-trust patterns, or compliance automation
  • Interest in security and networking

This is a remote position.
