Electrical Inspector - Lightning Protection, Remote Part-Time - Phoenix, Arizona The Electrical Inspector โ€“ Lightning Protection position is a remote, partโ€time direct hire opportunity located in Phoenix, Arizona. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States and reside within the U.S. The position is responsible for performing field inspections of lightning protection systems of buildings and structures to ensure compliance with applicable standards, issuing reports, and communicating with clients.

What You'll Do Perform inspections of lightning protection systems on buildings and structures as required by applicable LPI, NFPA and UL standards. Complete reports summarizing the inspection work completed onsite. Make judgments regarding compliance in terms of applicable standards.

Communicate and coordinate with clients while planning visits to work locations. Perform other work as required. Salary & Benefits Information Individual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate including skill set, experience, qualifications and other jobโ€related reasons.

As this is a partโ€time position, it is not eligible for additional benefits. Minimum Requirements & Qualifications High school diploma or GED 5+ years of experience in the construction or electrical trades, preferably as an Installer, Technician, Electrician, Contractor or Electrical Inspector Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings Ability to work independently to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions Ability to adhere to site PPE requirements and work safely on an active construction site Knowledge of Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, and Outlook Ability to be responsive and provide good customer communication and service Ability to work a flexible schedule, with hours ranging from 0 to 40+ per week Must have access to the internet Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time Ability to climb stairs and ladders Ability to travel 75% as needed, including air and overnight travel Must have a valid driver's license and a reliable driving record PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS - Ability to lift/carry at least 40 pounds; Ability to climb at least 30 feet; Ability to work with various levels of noise Preferred Requirements & Qualifications Associate or bachelor's degree in related field Experience as an Installer, Technician, Electrician, Contractor or Electrical Inspector Other Job Information Intertek is a drugโ€free workplace.
