Job description

Construction Coordinator I 

This role requires 100% travel with rotations. 

SUMMARY 

Mortenson is currently seeking a Construction Coordinator I with the ability to interact with a variety of staff at all levels in an ever-changing environment, remaining flexible, resourceful, proactive, and efficient with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.   

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Collect and organize punch lists, inventory, work production plans for easy retrieval and documenting 
  • Process invoices and billing under the supervision of project manager and/or project accountant 
  • Train in new project admins/clerks  
  • Perform basic inventory control under the direction of project management staff 
  • Assist with record retention and document controls 
  • Perform basic field quality and safety inspections 
  • Document conformance to plans and specs 
  • Recommend potential solutions 
  • Promote Mortenson's safety culture 
  • Effectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels  
  • All other duties as assigned 

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • High school diploma or equivalent  
  • Previous experience on a construction job site preferred  
  • Strong Microsoft Office and internet skills  
  • Ability to learn and utilize different types of computer software used in Construction Management to support any aspect of a construction project  
  • Ability to effectively communicate, both written and verbally 
  • Ability to effectively handle detailed information and meet deadlines 
  • Ability to multitask  
  • Active listening skills and effective communication including an openness to diverse input and feedback 
  • Ability to travel up to 100%

The base pay range for this role is $27.55 MIN - $37.21 MAX. (Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL - 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR - 10%, Washington, D.C. - 12.5%). 

Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity.
