Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM (Core hours: 10:00 AM–3:00 PM, 37.5 hours/week)

Our client is seeking a People & Culture Generalist to join their Human Resources team and provide broad support across key HR functions. This organization offers a collaborative, mission-driven culture with strong employee retention and an engaging remote work environment.

Job Description:

The People & Culture Generalist will play a key role in supporting day-to-day human resources operations across the employee lifecycle. This position will partner with leadership and employees to assist with recruiting, onboarding, payroll, benefits administration, HR systems, employee relations, and ongoing process improvements. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, has exceptional attention to detail, and is passionate about creating a positive employee experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with full-cycle recruiting activities, including scheduling interviews, communicating with candidates, posting positions, and maintaining applicant records.
  • Coordinate onboarding activities to ensure new hires have a smooth and organized transition into the organization.
  • Support employee offboarding by facilitating necessary documentation and coordinating with internal departments.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data while ensuring confidentiality and data integrity.
  • Process payroll-related updates, review timesheets, and provide administrative payroll support.
  • Administer employee benefit enrollments, changes, and ongoing benefits-related inquiries.
  • Assist with benefit reconciliations by reviewing payroll deductions and vendor records to resolve discrepancies.
  • Support annual open enrollment and employee benefit communications.
  • Generate HR reports, complete data audits, and assist with maintaining HR compliance documentation.
  • Respond to employee questions regarding HR policies, procedures, and general employment matters.
  • Provide administrative support for performance management processes and employee development initiatives.
  • Participate in HR projects and recommend process improvements that enhance operational efficiency.
  • Perform additional HR and administrative responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • At least two years of well-rounded human resources experience.
  • Hands-on experience with recruiting, onboarding, payroll, benefits administration, and general HR operations.
  • Strong working knowledge of Paylocity is required, including experience supporting payroll, benefits, onboarding, recruiting, employee data management, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience processing semi-monthly payroll for approximately 120 employees is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with a customer-service mindset.
  • High level of discretion when handling confidential employee information.
  • Self-motivated with strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working independently while collaborating with a remote team.

Additional Details:

  • Pay Rate: $26.00–$30.00/hour (depending on experience)
  • Assignment Type: Contract-to-Hire
  • Fully remote position.
  • Standard schedule of 37.5 hours per week.
