• Conduct comprehensive, trauma-informed mental health assessments that identify clients’ trauma histories and inform suitable treatment methodologies.
• Formulate and implement personalized treatment plans aimed at facilitating trauma recovery and enhancing resilience.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) or Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), tailored to individual client needs.
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, guiding clients through therapeutic processes that foster healing and coping mechanisms.
• Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration with psychiatrists and healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive and integrated patient care.
• Provide timely crisis intervention support during trauma-related emergencies, equipping clients with immediate coping strategies.
• Educate clients and their families on trauma responses, effective coping mechanisms, and available resources to promote informed recovery.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential client documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards.
• Participate in regular case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development focused on trauma-informed care initiatives.
• Stay informed on the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy to enhance service delivery.

You will primarily support individuals who have experienced various forms of trauma and are seeking mental health services to address the psychological aftermath. Clients range from those experiencing acute trauma symptoms to those dealing with chronic issues stemming from long-term trauma. Your work will not only impact their mental health but also assist in rebuilding their lives through stabilization, resilience, and personal growth.

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
• Current and valid licensure as an LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT in Massachusetts.
• 2 years of post-licensure experience in providing mental health services is strongly preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities.
• Demonstrated experience in delivering trauma-focused therapies; familiarity with EMDR and TF-CBT is a plus.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, combined with a non-judgmental and compassionate approach to therapy.
• Ability to manage stress effectively and maintain composure during crises.
• Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant computer applications.
• Capability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team of psychotherapists, psychiatrists, and other healthcare providers.

While a minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience is required, candidates with additional experience in trauma-informed settings or specializing in PTSD treatment will find themselves well-prepared for this role. Familiarity with innovative therapeutic approaches and the ability to adapt to various client needs will be highly beneficial.
