How much do remote computer science jobs pay per year?
What Are Remote Computer Science Jobs?
Remote computer science jobs include a wide variety of roles focused on the use and analysis of computers and networks, including security specialists, network administrators, and software programmers. In these roles, you may develop hardware or software, control user accounts and permissions, analyze security procedures, manage confidential information, order repairs and replacements, manage inventory levels, conduct penetration tests, or manage a full development cycle for new software. Remote computer science jobs frequently use databases, private networks, intrusion detection systems, and remote conferencing software to help coordinate jobs. This is something of a catch-all term for computer-based positions, so if you are looking for a specific role, such as a remote programmer or remote computer engineer, you may need to narrow your search terminology.

Job description
Software Developer (.NET Full Stack)
Location: [Omaha NE / Remote / Hybrid]
Partner Agency: Cordova
Employment Type: Full-Time
The Opportunity
Cordova is seeking a talented Software Developer to join a collaborative engineering team focused on the full-stack development of mission-critical applications. In this role, you will be responsible for the entire development lifecycle—designing, developing, testing, and deploying new code while relentlessly improving existing systems to ensure peak performance.
This position is perfect for an engineer who enjoys deep-diving into different tiers of an application, from the UI and APIs to the database. You will act as a technical resource and mentor, troubleshooting inefficiencies and securing applications against vulnerabilities, all while maintaining direct, effective relationships with stakeholders across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Full-Stack Development & Engineering
Application Lifecycle: Write, test, and deploy new code and improve existing codebase to ensure applications are scalable and functional.
Tier Management: Understand and debug all application layers, including the User Interface (UI), API, and Database.
Database Stability: Assist in maintaining database accuracy and stability, identifying and fixing resource bottlenecks to optimize performance.
Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve system inefficiencies and programming bugs across various sites and platforms.
Security & Best Practices
Cybersecurity: Proactively secure applications against hacking vulnerabilities and modern security threats.
Standard Guidance: Adhere to and advocate for industry best practices and standard architectural guidance.
Continuous Learning: Maintain a high level of technical mastery in all applicable programming languages and database formats.
Collaboration & Mentorship
Stakeholder Relations: Own and manage relationships with business stakeholders, effectively communicating technical progress to all levels of the organization.
Technical Mentorship: Act as a go-to resource for other developers, providing input, advice, and technical mentorship to elevate the team’s output.
The Ideal Candidate
Experience & Education
Education: Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or Information System Analysis.
Backend Expertise: 3+ years of experience with ASP.NET Web API, Entity Framework, C#, RESTful Services, and SQL Server.
Frontend Proficiency: Solid experience with AngularJS, JavaScript, CSS, and HTML.
Core Competencies
Analytical Problem Solving: Ability to identify resource bottlenecks and fix complex system inefficiencies.
Interpersonal Skills: Proven ability to work effectively with people at all levels and manage stakeholder expectations directly.
Reliability: Strong documentation skills and a disciplined approach to creating and modifying both routine and complex code.
