This role will be performed remotely, allowing for flexibility while maintaining a strong connection to educational institutions and families. • Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments to identify the needs and concerns of students and their families.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that encompass group, individual, and family therapy sessions.
• Serve as a liaison between the school, families, and community agencies, ensuring a collaborative approach to care.
• Document treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge plans in compliance with legal and administrative standards.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, providing consultation and insights to contribute to comprehensive student support.
• Respond effectively to crisis situations, employing de-escalation strategies and providing immediate support.
• Advocate for resources and services that benefit students’ mental health and well-being while navigating the complexities of mental health systems.

The ideal candidate will engage primarily with school-aged children and adolescents, addressing a variety of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, trauma, and the impacts of neglect or abuse. Your expertise will be crucial in fostering an environment that supports students' emotional and psychological well-being, thereby enhancing their capacity to thrive in academic settings.

• A Master’s Degree in Social Work from an accredited program.
• Current California licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), recognized by the California Board of Behavioral Science Examiners.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in providing mental health services, preferably in a health-related or educational setting.
• Demonstrated completion of continuing education in relevant fields.

• Familiarity with Department of Mental Health billing and paperwork processes.
• Experience in parent-child interventions and evidenced-based treatment strategies.
• Knowledge of normal child development and issues surrounding child abuse and neglect.
• Strong competencies in crisis intervention and conflict resolution.
