Work Environment

This remote counseling role provides a flexible work setting that supports a healthy work-life balance. As an outpatient office, we focus on delivering virtual care through secure online platforms that allow for live video sessions with clients. Our modern approach to telehealth means that you can create your own schedule during our standard operating hours of Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, without the burden of on-call responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct weekly live video counseling sessions with individual adults using evidence-based approaches to assist clients in reaching their mental health goals.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with other psychiatric providers and fellow counselors to facilitate comprehensive treatment plans and share insights on patient progress.
  • Utilize symptom self-assessments, functional improvement metrics, and goal tracking tools to monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
  • Participate in weekly drop-in consultation sessions to consult with leadership and continue developing your clinical skills.
  • Document treatment sessions through an integrated electronic medical record (EMR) system to ensure streamlined communication and effective care delivery.
Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Mental Health Counselor at Central Mind Therapeutic Clinic, you will primarily work with adults who present a diverse range of mental health disorders. This includes individuals in crisis or at a higher risk of suicidal ideation, as well as adults seeking help for anxiety, depression, trauma, and more. A core part of the role is ensuring culturally responsive care that respects and understands the unique backgrounds and needs of each client, encouraging a welcoming environment for all.

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s or Doctorate degree in clinical psychology, counseling, or clinical social work (LPCC, LCSW, or LMFT) from an accredited institution.
  • Must be currently licensed and able to practice independently as a Therapist, Counselor, or Psychologist.
  • Minimum of one year of independent practice experience in a clinical setting.
  • Cultural competency and commitment to treating a diverse client base effectively.
  • Familiarity with digital health tools and an eagerness to integrate technology into clinical practice.
Preferred Experience
  • At least two years of recent experience in providing CBT and other evidence-based interventions to individual adults.
