About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled
AWS Cloud Architect with strong expertise in
Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using
AWS CDK and
Terraform. The ideal candidate will design and implement scalable, secure, and cost-efficient cloud solutions, while driving automation and modernization initiatives. This is a fully remote role within the United States.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and implement cloud-native solutions leveraging AWS services.
- Design and manage Infrastructure as Code using AWS CDK and Terraform.
- Lead cloud migration, modernization, and automation projects.
- Collaborate with DevOps, engineering, and security teams to ensure seamless delivery.
- Establish and enforce cloud governance, compliance, and security best practices.
- Optimize cloud performance and costs through monitoring and automation.
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to engineering teams.
- Stay updated on emerging AWS services and IaC tools.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 7+ years of experience in cloud architecture, with at least 4 years focused on AWS.
- Proven expertise in AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, ECS/EKS, CloudFront, IAM, VPC, etc.).
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS CDK and Terraform for Infrastructure-as-Code.
- Proficiency in CI/CD pipeline design and automation frameworks.
- Solid understanding of networking, security, and compliance in cloud environments.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional (or equivalent certifications).
- Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (CloudWatch, Prometheus, ELK stack).
- Experience in hybrid or multi-cloud environments.
- Knowledge of cost optimization strategies for AWS workloads.
