LONG TERM CONTRACT

ECW Optimization Specialist

The ECW Optimization SUBJECT MATTER EXPERT is responsible for maximizing the effectiveness of the eClinicalWorks (ECW) system across THE CLIENT''''s Florida operations. Serving as a critical liaison between clinical/administrative teams and IT leadership, the Specialist will assess current ECW utilization, recommend and implement optimization strategies, and lead projects that improve workflows, boost efficiency, and support compliance. This role is primarily onsite, with up to 25% remote work.  There will be frequent travel across Florida locations.

Evaluate current ECW usage across all THE CLIENT Florida locations and job roles (clinical and administrative).

Identify gaps, inefficiencies, and areas for system improvement.

Optimization Strategy Development

Recommend configuration changes, new modules, and workflow enhancements to better align ECW capabilities with organizational goals.

Propose and prioritize ECW implementation projects, changes, and training programs to achieve desired outcomes.

Project Planning & Execution

Develop detailed project plans with timelines, deliverables, and resource requirements.

Vet project plans with ACA CIO and THE CLIENT leadership; identify dependencies, secure buy-in, and obtain necessary approvals.

Lead execution of approved ECW optimization initiatives, coordinating with internal teams, ECW, and external vendors as needed.

Stakeholder Communication & Training

Communicate proactively and clearly with clinical staff, providers, and leadership regarding project timelines, status, and IT needs.

Lead and document training sessions, system upgrades, and new module rollouts.

Provide weekly progress reports to ACA CIO and THE CLIENT leadership.

Ensure all initiatives comply with HIPAA, PHI protection, and healthcare IT security standards.

Maintain documentation to support regulatory audits and internal compliance reviews.

Continuous Improvement

Gather feedback from users, monitor post-implementation outcomes, and adjust strategies as needed.

Stay current on ECW product developments and healthcare IT best practices.

Support other IT or optimization projects as assigned by leadership.

Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Healthcare Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).

7+ years of hands-on experience with ECW; at least 1 year in an ECW consulting role strongly preferred.

Minimum of 2 years’ experience optimizing ECW usage within a physician practice setting.

Proficient in both Windows and Apple operating environments.

Solid understanding of HIPAA, PHI, and healthcare privacy/security regulations.

Experience with ECW module configuration, workflow optimization, and system integration.

Project & Change Management

Strong organizational skills: able to balance multiple initiatives, set priorities, and meet deadlines.

Exceptional oral and written communication skills, with the ability to interface effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
