Job description

Work Schedule: 
This is a full-time, 1.0 FTE position that is 100% remote. Shifts will be scheduled 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Monday - Friday with additional flexibility once trained. Applicants hired into this position can work remotely from most states. This will be discussed during the interview process.

We are seeking a Research Billing Specialist to:

  • Perform Medicare coverage analysis and participation in ancillary service reviews along with assistance in research study activations within HealthLink (EPIC)
  • Review all charges related to clinical trials to ensure Medicare coverage rules and clinical trial contracts are adhered to
  • Serve as the primary point of contact and technical expert for complex research billing workflows, including providing ongoing updates, training, and involvement in research-related IT projects
  • Collaborate and build strong working relationship with clinical research departments and clinical research compliance

Qualifications

  • Associate\'s Degree in Health Care, Business, or a related field. 
    Two (2) years of research billing, financial analysis, or coding experience may be considered in lieu of degree in addition to the experience below.

  • Two (2) years of research billing, financial analysis, or coding experience may be considered in lieu of degree in addition to the experience below. Required
  • Bachelor\'s Degree in Business, Finance, Health Information Management, or related field. Preferred

Work Experience

  • 2 years of experience in a healthcare revenue cycle or clinic operations role and Epic billing experience. Required
  • 1 year of research billing or research operations. Required
  • Experience working in OnCore. Preferred
