Navigating the complex landscape of mental health, Navigate Family & Youth Therapy Services is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) to join our remote team. This full-time position offers a unique opportunity to deliver transformative mental health services to individuals and families while working from the comfort of your own home. Work Environment

This position is fully remote, allowing you to achieve a healthy work-life balance while providing essential services through a telehealth setting. Our practice operates seven days a week from 7 AM to 10 PM, providing flexibility in scheduling to meet the needs of both our counselors and clients. You will be supported by a dedicated administrative team responsible for scheduling and managing client services, allowing you to focus on delivering quality care. With no required on-call hours, you can maintain a manageable caseload that typically becomes established within the first 90 days following credentialing, which we cover.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' traumas and develop tailored therapeutic approaches.
  • Create and implement individualized treatment plans that prioritize trauma recovery and resilience-building.
  • Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).
  • Conduct individual and group therapy sessions, guiding clients through trauma processing, coping strategy development, and healing exercises.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists and other mental health professionals, to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Provide crisis intervention and immediate support during trauma-related emergencies.
  • Educate clients and their families on trauma responses, effective coping mechanisms, and community resources.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Engage in regular case consultations, team meetings, and professional development focused on trauma-informed practices.
  • Commit to staying current with the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clientele includes individuals and families who have experienced various forms of trauma and are seeking guidance in healing and developing resilience. As an LCPC, you will be deeply involved in addressing complex emotional and psychological issues, providing a safe space for clients to process their experiences and fostering a strong therapeutic alliance to support their journeys toward recovery.

Qualifications
  • Master's or doctoral degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.
  • Possession of current and valid licensure as an LCPC in the state of Illinois.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, ensuring the ability to connect compassionately with clients.
  • Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and related computer applications is essential.
Preferred Experience
  • A minimum of two years of post-licensure clinical experience is preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of trauma-related disorders and effective trauma-informed treatment modalities.
  • Experienced in delivering trauma-focused therapies and skilled in crisis intervention techniques.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in high-stress situations, adapting interventions as necessary.
  • Willingness to work with a diverse range of clients, including couples (training provided).
