Position Overview

West Valley Psychotherapy Center is seeking committed and skilled Mental Health Therapists (Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist - LMFT, Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor - LCPC, or Licensed Clinical Social Worker - LCSW) to fill full-time remote positions within our innovative telehealth practice. This role invites you to make a significant difference in the lives of clients by providing effective psychotherapy for various mental health challenges, thus improving overall mental well-being.

Work Environment

This position is entirely remote, leveraging telehealth technology to connect with patients in Joliet, Illinois, and surrounding areas. Our practice offers a flexible work environment, promoting a work-life balance while ensuring that therapists can effectively manage their workload and meet patient needs. Your work schedule will primarily be Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility to accommodate patients’ requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments to understand each patient's specific needs and create tailored treatment plans that are both actionable and measurable.
  • Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions through modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused therapy, adapting techniques to best serve individuals, couples, and families.
  • Facilitate psychoeducational and support groups, fostering community and shared learning to help patients navigate common mental health challenges.
  • Collaborate closely with a team of psychiatrists, psychologists, and other mental health professionals to ensure coordinated, holistic care for all patients.
  • Provide crisis intervention services, responding quickly and effectively during mental health emergencies to safeguard patient well-being.
  • Educate clients about mental health disorders, available treatment options, and community resources to empower them on their recovery journey.
  • Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in alignment with legal and ethical standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems efficiently.
  • Engage actively in team meetings, case consultations, and ongoing professional development initiatives to ensure continuous personal and professional growth.
  • Stay updated on advancements in mental health therapies and best practices to enhance therapeutic effectiveness.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse client base, addressing various mental health challenges. Your role will be crucial in providing therapeutic support to individuals and families from different backgrounds and cultures, adapting your approaches to best meet their unique needs.

Qualifications
  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Valid licensure as an LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW in the state of Illinois.
  • Robust knowledge of mental health disorders and evidence-based therapeutic modalities.
  • Proven experience in conducting thorough assessments and creating effective treatment plans tailored to individual clients.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build rapport with clients and work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability to practice sound judgment with adherence to ethical and professional standards.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and necessary computer applications.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience providing individual and group therapy to diverse populations is highly desirable.
  • Specialized training in evidence-based treatment modalities will give candidates a competitive edge.
