Primary Skills: Piping Stress Analysis (advanced), Computational Fluid Dynamics Modeling (advanced), HVAC Design (advanced), Fire Suppression and Plumbing (intermediate), Mechanical and Building Codes (intermediate)
Contract Type: W2/C2C only
Duration: 6+ Months Contract (High possibility of extension)

Job Summary:
This role is for a highly specialized mechanical engineer focused on the design and implementation of mechanical systems within data center facilities. The position requires deep expertise in specific engineering disciplines to ensure the successful build-out and upgrade of critical infrastructure. You will be instrumental in driving complex mechanical, fire suppression, and plumbing solutions from conception through to installation.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop comprehensive mechanical designs for data center projects using Basis of Design through to Issue For Construction documentation.
  • Manage all aspects of mechanical, fire suppression, and plumbing systems throughout the project lifecycle, resolving issues raised by stakeholders.
  • Define scopes of work for significant equipment procurements and update configurations as project needs evolve.
  • Collaborate with global teams, manufacturers, and engineering departments to deliver required mechanical solutions.
  • Ensure vendor quality control and successful product delivery that meets rigorous design and equipment standards.
Must-Have Skills:
  • Expertise in piping stress analysis and related software.
  • Proven experience with thermal and hydraulic modeling software.
  • Extensive knowledge of mechanical and building codes.
  • Experience in mission-critical facility mechanical infrastructure systems is essential for this role.
