As a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Conducting comprehensive assessments and collaborating in treatment planning, including creating pre-crisis and crisis intervention strategies as well as behavioral guidelines.
• Completing all necessary documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements in a timely manner.
• Employing evidence-based screening tools as per the directives of the clinical team to inform treatment approaches.
• Collaborating with other behavioral health professionals to devise and execute positive behavior support plans that cater to each client’s specific needs.
• Participating actively in the clinic's licensing and accreditation processes to uphold the highest standards of care.
• Acting as a liaison to relevant service systems, state agencies, and community partners to enhance service delivery.
• Engaging in interdisciplinary communication that aligns with our mission and objectives, while ensuring compliance with contract standards.
• Building and maintaining collaborative relationships with various local and state organizations to identify new program initiatives and funding opportunities.
• Participating in continuous personal and professional development through conferences and trainings, representing the agency in statewide meetings and committees.
• Championing our agency's mission, values, and principles across all interactions.
• Performing additional duties as assigned by the Clinic Director to meet team and organizational objectives.

You will work with a diverse clientele, including individuals facing emotional and psychological difficulties, those in recovery from substance abuse, and clients with developmental disabilities or brain injuries. Each interaction is guided by a trauma-informed approach, empowering clients to overcome their challenges while paving the way for sustainable recovery and mental wellness.

The following qualifications are essential for this role:

• A Master’s Degree in a relevant mental health field is required.
• Independent LPCC licensure is mandatory to practice in California.

Applicants with prior experience in community health settings or comprehensive behavioral health programs will be at an advantage. Experience in crisis intervention and familiarity with evidence-based practices will further support your effectiveness in this position.
