What is a remote community guide?

A Remote Community Guide is a professional who helps manage, support, and engage members of an online community from a remote location. They facilitate discussions, answer questions, enforce community guidelines, and help foster a positive, inclusive environment. Remote Community Guides often encounter challenges such as fostering engagement in a virtual environment, handling conflicts between members, and maintaining a positive and inclusive community culture. Job description

At the N2 Company, our vision is "to be the most respected franchise in the nation, to share stories that build community, and to provide meaningful work for our team".

About Us

The N2 Company is America's leading publisher of community magazines. We're proud of our award-winning media brands – they reach millions of readers in nearly every state and help great businesses connect with ideal clients – but we're even more proud to provide supportive and fulfilling remote work opportunities for our people.

About The Role

As our new Part-Time Appointment Setter, you'll play a key role in launching new corporate publications and helping drive their success from day one. In this fast-paced, high-volume role, you'll connect with B2B prospects through outbound cold calls, introduce them to our newest publication opportunities, and spark interest with potential advertisers.

Your primary focus will be to identify qualified prospects, confirm they're a good fit, and schedule high-quality appointments for our Sales Guardians to close. If you're energized by making connections, thrive in a goal-oriented environment, and enjoy the excitement of opening new doors, this is a great opportunity to make an immediate impact.

This is a fully remote part-time position working up to 28 hours per week. Interviews will be conducted via phone and video call. The pay rate is $15 per hour, plus performance-based bonuses for scheduled appointments and closed sales, with opportunities for growth and advancement.

The Role in Action

  • Make high-volume outbound calls to introduce prospective B2B clients to our new corporate publication opportunities.
  • Deliver engaging sales pitches, qualify prospects, and generate interest in new publication launches.
  • Schedule qualified appointments for our Sales Guardians to ensure accurate calendars and smooth handoffs.
  • Consistently meet or exceed outbound calling and appointment-setting goals.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records of prospect interactions, appointments, and sales activity.

The Ideal Candidate

We're looking for someone who will hit the ground running with:

  • Experience with high-volume B2B outbound cold calling and a passion for connecting with prospects by phone.
  • Resilient, motivated, and energized by achieving activity and appointment-setting goals.
  • Strong verbal communication skills, with the ability to quickly build interest and communicate value.
  • Skilled at qualifying prospects to identify high-quality opportunities for the sales team.
  • Highly organized, with strong attention to detail and accurate CRM documentation.
  • Able to follow established processes, quality standards, and lead management guidelines consistently.
  • Experience using CRM and sales tools such as HubSpot, Outreach, or similar dialer and cadence platforms.
  • Comfortable managing scheduling tools like Calendly and Google Calendar.
  • Familiar with communication and productivity tools, including Slack and Google Workspace (Gmail, Docs, Sheets).

Skills and Qualities That Set You Apart:

  • 1+ years of experience in high-volume cold calling, telemarketing, or appointment setting.
  • Proven ability to meet activity goals and sales targets with measurable results.
  • Motivated by a goal-oriented, bonus-driven environment and earning potential.
  • Experience connecting with and scheduling meetings for local business owners or SMB decision-makers.
  • Familiarity with media, advertising, print, digital, or local sponsorship sales is a plus.
  • Experience supporting sales teams by providing qualified leads and ensuring smooth meeting handoffs.
  • Comfortable working remotely in a performance-driven environment with KPIs and quality standards.
Benefits Designed with You in MindHealth & Wellness
  • Access to a licensed nutritionist to support your health and wellness goals.
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP) with complimentary mental health resources and additional support services.
Financial Security
  • 401(k) plan with a company match to help secure your financial future.
  • Financial planning services to guide you in achieving your financial goals.
Additional Benefits
