Comfort of Home Counseling Center is actively seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team in a full-time capacity. This role is focused on providing exceptional mental health care through a telehealth platform, allowing you to effectively connect with clients from the convenience of their own homes. You will be responsible for assessing client needs, developing tailored treatment plans, and facilitating therapeutic sessions aimed at improving mental health outcomes.

You’ll engage with a diverse client base, utilizing various electronic health record (EHR) systems to document and track patient progress efficiently.

• Conduct thorough assessments of clients' mental health status through virtual sessions, using structured interviews and appropriate diagnostic tools.
• Develop personalized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based practices to address clients' unique mental health issues.
• Provide regular therapy sessions via telehealth, offering individual or group therapy as needed, and measure client progress against established goals.
• Empower clients by equipping them with coping strategies and therapeutic tools necessary for overcoming challenges and enhancing their mental wellness.
• Refer clients to additional resources, including psychiatrists or support groups, when further specialized care is necessary.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of client interactions, treatment plans, and progress using EHR systems.

The ideal candidate will work with a wide range of mental health conditions, including but not limited to anxiety disorders, depression, substance use disorders, and eating disorders. You will interact with a diverse patient population, including adolescents and adults, ensuring culturally competent care that respects the unique backgrounds and experiences of each client. You will play a crucial role in breaking down barriers to mental health treatment, particularly in a remote setting.

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid license as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York.
• Demonstrated understanding of mental health diagnoses and evidence-based treatment modalities.
• Exceptional crisis intervention skills and the ability to respond calmly and effectively in high-pressure situations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to build strong therapeutic alliances with clients.
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) software and a comfort level with remote communication technologies.

• At least four years of relevant clinical experience, including individual and group therapy.
• Experience with telehealth methodologies and strategies for engaging clients virtually.
• Strong background in developing culturally responsive therapeutic approaches.
• Knowledge of various treatment programs and resources for mental health recovery.
