This position offers a remote work setting, allowing you flexibility in providing therapy. You will be utilizing various telehealth platforms to conduct sessions, ensuring that you have the necessary technology to facilitate effective communication and maintain a high standard of patient care. As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with Sunshine Counseling, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting initial assessments and developing individualized treatment plans for clients.
• Leading therapy sessions for individuals, couples, and families, employing evidence-based practices.
• Utilizing various therapeutic modalities to address issues such as alcohol abuse, family conflicts, grief, and adjustment to separation.
• Providing referrals to specialists when necessary, ensuring comprehensive care for all patients.
• Documenting all client interactions and progress notes in accordance with HIPAA regulations and clinic protocols.
• Engaging in ongoing communication with clients to assess progress and adapt treatment plans as needed.
• Continuously pursuing professional development and staying updated on the latest therapeutic practices.

Our clinic primarily serves adults and families experiencing a range of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and trauma. You will be working with diverse populations, including blended families, individuals dealing with separation and divorce, and those struggling with job-related stress and medical issues. To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A valid and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
• A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, particularly in a virtual setting.

While not mandatory, preference will be given to candidates with:

• Experience in a telehealth setting or a strong adaptation to remote communication tools.
