• Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions tailored to students experiencing mental health challenges, ensuring that treatment is evidence-based and developmentally appropriate.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop integrated care plans that prioritize the specific needs of each student, connecting them with available services in the community.
• Collaborate with school administrators and staff to create a supportive environment for students, integrating mental health awareness and resources into the school culture.
• Engage in crisis intervention as needed, addressing urgent situations with sensitivity and care to prevent escalation and ensure student safety.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes, while adhering to professional ethical guidelines and the code of conduct set forth by Apex Serenity Medical Clinic.
• Monitor ongoing treatment outcomes and adjust care strategies to enhance effectiveness and support student success.
• Participate in regular team meetings, contributing insights to develop best practices and improve service delivery within the agency.

Your primary focus will be on school-aged children and adolescents facing various mental health challenges. Many students come from under-resourced backgrounds, requiring a compassionate and culturally competent approach to therapy. You will work to empower these individuals by providing them with the tools, resources, and support necessary to thrive academically and socially.

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work (BSW) is required; a Master’s Degree is preferred.
• Valid Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) credentials in the state of Kansas.
• At least two years of relevant clinical experience, particularly in school or community-based settings.
• Expertise in mental health issues, especially those prevalent among children and adolescents.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to build rapport with diverse clientele.
• Ability to navigate challenging situations with professionalism, empathy, and calmness.

• Experience providing mental health services to school-aged youth in a clinical or educational setting.
• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems for clinical documentation and case management.
• Familiarity with community resources and support systems available for children and families in Kansas City.

This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 70,000 – 85,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
