What you'll do
  • Lead the definition of project specifications by evaluating product architecture, customer and regulatory requirements, performance standards, and constructability; perform advanced technical studies and validate cost estimates to ensure project feasibility and margin targets
  • Own and review complex BAS submittals in accordance with BCM standards, including control drawings, flow diagrams, network architecture, valve and damper schedules, and detailed bills of materials, ensuring accuracy and compliance across all deliverables
  • Develop and review BAS equipment floor plans, directing network topology and DDC equipment layouts while ensuring coordination with architectural, mechanical, and electrical drawings
  • Proactively generate, manage, and resolve RFIs, serving as the technical point of contact to clarify scope, mitigate risk, and prevent downstream design or construction issues
  • Author, review, and optimize HVAC sequences of operations, ensuring alignment with design intent, energy efficiency goals, and system performance expectations
  • Oversee the collection and validation of all technical information required to produce highquality, complete submittal packages, mentoring junior engineers and enforcing documentation best practices
Who you are
  • B.S. in Engineering with 5+ years of experiencein HVAC Controls Design, Building Automation Systems, or related controls engineering roles
  • Advanced understanding of networking, temperature controls, and integrated BAS systems, with the ability to evaluate, design, and troubleshoot complex system architectures
  • Strong expertise in electronics troubleshooting and relay logic, including diagnosing systemlevel issues and supporting commissioning and field resolution efforts
  • Proficient in AutoCAD or similar design software, with experience producing and reviewing detailed control drawings and coordinating across disciplines
  • Solid understanding of construction methods, codes, and industry standards, enabling effective collaboration with project managers, contractors, and field teams
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a teambased environment, while independently owning deliverables, prioritizing work, and providing technical guidance to less experienced engineers
