Job description

Standard Job Description
This Lockheed Martin (LM) Enterprise Business and Digital Transformation (EBDT) Software Engineer position is for a Java / COTS developer for the Engineering Enablement Team supporting engineering applications for the RMS business area engineering applications, specifically RMS EPDM or PTC Windchill.
A developer with a strong technical background is needed to join an existing high performing team supporting business critical applications for the RMS Engineering & Technology organization. Successful candidates will be expected to quickly come up to speed on new technologies and internal processes. This assignment works with a large and complex COTS product where not all aspects are completely documented. To be successful a candidate must be willing to show initiative and develop creative solutions utilizing the limited set of available resources. To facilitate necessary skill growth both on the job and formal training opportunities will be provided.
This position is expected to join an experienced software development team which provides support for the RMS EPDM PLM system and key 1LMX initiatives such as MPMLink Capital project and 1LMX integrations (Enterprise Part Registry, S/4 HANA and Common MES systems). The applicant will be expected to integrate into an existing agile software development process utilizing daily scrums and sprints while adjusting quickly to a fast paced working environment.
Basic Qualifications
  • Proficient Java and Object Oriented development skills with 2 years documented work experience.
  • Demonstrated understanding of HTML, CSS, Java Server Pages (JSP), JavaScript, REST APIs, and related concepts.
  • Strong SQL skills and understanding of relational databases.
  • Proven ability to execute the full software development lifecycle including interfacing directly with non-technical stakeholders to develop requirements.
  • Demonstrated willingness to take initiative and develop innovative solutions to complex problems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • General knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM)
  • Experience with PTC Windchill, ProjectLink, PDMLink or other PTC COTS products.
  • Experience with CAD tools such as Creo, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Catia.
  • Experience with Jasper reporting.
  • Experience with DevOps software tools such as Git, GitLab, Sonar Cube, Jenkins, and Ant.
  • Familiarity with middleware technologies such as SAP IDOCS, XML and SOAP web services, SOA Suite, OpenShift and Camel
  • Familiarity with eQube
  • Previous experience or training with Agile software development concepts, techniques, and tools.
  • Demonstrated effectiveness working with teammates in a virtual environment.

GeoZone Definition: GeoZones are geographic groupings created by Lockheed Martin to align compensation ranges with regional labor markets and cost-of-labor differences across the United States. Locations are assigned a Geo Zone based on the primary work location of the role.
  • Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 1): $101400.00 - $188200.00
    • Includes metropolitan areas such as Sunnyvale CA; Pal Alto, CA; New York City metropolitan area; Newark, New Jersey; etc.
  • Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 2): :$91200.00 - $169400.00
    • Includes metropolitan areas such as Denver, CO; King of Prussia, PA; Stratford, CT; Moorestown, NJ; etc.
  • Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 3): :$81100.00 - $150500.00
