Key Responsibilities

  • Offer crisis intervention support, drawing on effective strategies to assist patients during mental health emergencies.

  • Maintain accurate, confidential, and compliant documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Engage in regular team meetings and case conferences to share insights, seek feedback, and contribute to interdisciplinary care planning.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with a diverse patient population that includes individuals experiencing a range of mental health conditions, exacerbated by co-occurring medical issues. You will encounter patients from various backgrounds, each requiring individualized attention and compassionate care to overcome their unique struggles.

Qualifications
  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Psychoanalyst, Psychologist, or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in New York.
  • Demonstrated experience addressing mental health issues in clients with co-occurring medical conditions.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to foster strong relationships with patients and colleagues alike.
  • Ability to maintain professional boundaries and ensure patient confidentiality consistently.
  • Proficient in using computer applications and electronic health record systems for effective client management.
  • A collaborative spirit and strong teamwork skills, essential for working within an interdisciplinary environment.
Preferred Experience
  • Prior experience in a community health setting or similar outpatient clinic focused on integrated care is preferred.
  • Exposure to crisis intervention techniques and skills is highly advantageous.
Compensation and Benefits
