Skillforce is hiring experienced CNC Machine Operators in Powhatan, VA with a strong mechanical background to join our team. This position is responsible for setting up and operating CNC machinery to cut, shape, and fabricate wood and metal components according to specifications.

Pay and Schedule

  • $20-$26/hr. W-2
  • 4 days, Mon-Thu, 6 AM to 4:30 PM
  • 3-day weekend every week

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC machines safely and efficiently
  • Cut, shape, and fabricate wood and metal materials
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders
  • Load materials and select the appropriate machine settings and tooling

Qualifications

  • Previous CNC machine operating experience required
  • Strong mechanical background and troubleshooting ability
  • Experience working with wood and/or metal materials
  • Ability to read blueprints and take accurate measurements
  • Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift materials as needed
  • Dependable, safety-conscious, and detail-oriented
  • Pass background check and drug screen
  • Valid US driver's license, reliable transport
