Job description

Enterprise Solutions and Management (ESM) is a rapidly growing government contractor that provides strategic IT services that meet mission needs for Defense and Federal customers. We are hiring a Cybersecurity Cloud Subject Matter Expert for an exciting opportunity.
Job Description and Responsibilities
Ensures that the architecture and design of cloud-hosted IT systems are secure and compliant with Department of Defense (DoD) requirements. Reviews cloud security policies and provides recommendations for improvement to strengthen the overall security posture, as well as to enhance capabilities for protection, detection, monitoring, and response for systems and data. Applies knowledge of current advancements in cloud security engineering and emerging threats to support the secure deployment of programs and applications. Provides input throughout the deployment process to ensure systems meet DoD compliance standards. Additionally, offers guidance to assessment staff in conducting cybersecurity vulnerability assessments related to cloud-hosted environments.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA)
  • Extensive knowledge of FedRAMP assessment methodology and its application to cloud-hosted systems within DoD environments
  • Strong understanding of cloud security architecture, design principles, and secure deployment practices
  • Experience working with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and implementing security controls within that platform
  • Familiarity with DoD IT environments, including compliance requirements, risk management frameworks, and authorization processes
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity vulnerability assessment techniques, including protection, detection, monitoring, and response strategies
  • Awareness of current cloud security threats, emerging technologies, and best practices in cloud security engineering

  • Candidate must communicate effectively with team members, team lead, management, and government customer

Minimum Training, Education, and Certifications
  • Two (2) years of experience achieving ATOs in a cloud environment (OCI, AWS, Azure, etc.)
  • Five (5) years of achieving ATOs for compartment DoD IT systems.
  • Cloud certification (OCI, AWS, Azure, etc.)

Minimum Clearance
  • Top Secret

Physical Requirements
  • Required to stand, walk and sit; communicate verbally both in person and by telephone; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects or controls; reach with hands and arms. Regularly required to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch and lift up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, color vision and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Physical demands associated with this position include extensive walking (including stairs) throughout offices and between buildings. May require use of public transportation, personal or Government vehicle to drive to local and/or remote office locations.
