Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate and lead parent support groups, creating safe and therapeutic environments for discussion and growth.
  • Deliver specialized training and counseling to parents of children with mental health needs, focusing on those grappling with challenges surrounding parenting and adoption, particularly for children exposed to substances prenatally.
  • Conduct comprehensive temperament counseling for parents to address their own needs while enhancing their parenting skills.

  • Maintain precise and timely documentation of all provided services, ensuring compliance with clinic policies and reporting requirements.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications
  • A Master’s Degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
  • A valid and unrestricted Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license.
  • A minimum of two years of relevant experience in a healthcare environment, with at least one year specifically within a mental health context.
  • Proven background in parent-child interventions and effective parenting strategies.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of normal child development, behavioral issues, and child abuse/neglect.
