Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily focuses on elderly individuals experiencing a variety of mental health issues, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, and adjustment disorders related to aging. By employing a patient-centered approach, you'll form meaningful connections with clients, enabling them to share their experiences and tailoring therapy to meet their specific needs.

Qualifications
  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current, valid licensure as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Psychologist in California.
  • At least two years of post-licensure experience in mental health therapy, preferably focused on geriatric populations.
  • In-depth knowledge of geriatric mental health disorders, effective therapeutic modalities, and evidenced-based interventions.
  • Experience delivering therapeutic services, including family therapy, to older adults.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, coupled with an empathetic, patient-focused approach.
