You will be joining a dynamic and supportive team fully equipped for remote service delivery in a community health clinic setting. As an LCSW, you will undertake the following essential responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine the counseling needs of clients.
• Utilize DSM criteria to evaluate clients for substance abuse diagnoses, ensuring accurate placement based on ASAM guidelines.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans focused on substance abuse that align with clients' unique needs.
• Create and oversee discharge and continuum of care plans, facilitating smooth transitions to appropriate levels of care post-treatment.
• Document all aspects of client care, including therapy sessions, assessments, referrals, and follow-up actions to maintain accurate clinical records.
• Manage an active caseload efficiently, ensuring regular updates and documentation regarding case management, treatment planning, and clinical charting.
• Coordinate support services for clients and their families, ensuring these efforts are accurately recorded in clinical documentation.
• Engage with relevant referral sources—such as legal, educational, and employment entities—to optimize client support and outcomes.
• Lead crisis intervention strategies and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to address urgent client needs swiftly and effectively.

In this role, you will work primarily with clients experiencing co-occurring disorders, including substance use and mental health challenges. Your empathetic and proactive approach will be instrumental in guiding these individuals through their journeys to recovery, fostering a therapeutic environment that promotes long-term healing and resilience.

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:

• A valid LCSW license in the state of New Jersey.
• A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
• Expertise in therapeutic techniques and a solid understanding of substance abuse treatment practices.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
• Professionalism, cultural competency, and a commitment to maintaining effective therapeutic boundaries.

While not mandatory, the following experiences would be beneficial:

• Previous experience in a remote clinical setting.
• Experience working with diverse populations and varying levels of mental health and substance use issues.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and documentation practices.
• Therefore facilitation of training or education sessions related to substance abuse recovery.
