This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a climate-controlled office setting while operating remotely. As an LCSW, you will engage in dynamic interactions with department colleagues and other healthcare providers through digital platforms. Your role will involve moving swiftly within virtual meetings and collaborative environments, ensuring streamlined communication and support for our patients.

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients, including diagnosing where necessary, to evaluate mental health status and care effectiveness using recognized tools such as the DSM-5.
• Collaborate with patients and their families to create individualized care plans that reflect each patient's cultural background, special needs, and personal goals.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques to monitor patient progress, adapting care strategies as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and timely treatment records and clinical documentation in compliance with regulatory standards and departmental policies.
• Engage in proactive communication with patients regarding treatment objectives, safety measures, and anticipated interventions to manage symptoms effectively.
• Work closely with multidisciplinary team members to identify appropriate referral resources and establish coordination of care that extends beyond therapy.
• Serve as a mentor and educator for interns, residents, and volunteers, fostering a supportive learning environment.
• Participate in clinical supervision activities, including peer reviews, chart audits, and collaborative discussions, to support the continuous development of the team.

Your primary focus will be on individuals and families affected by cancer, who may experience a range of emotional and psychological challenges, including anxiety, depression, and adjustment disorders. Your expertise will be essential in guiding patients through their healthcare journey and enhancing their overall well-being.

• A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Illinois.

While not mandatory, experience working within oncology or palliative care settings is preferred. Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic modalities and previous involvement in outpatient mental health practices will enhance your application.

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from $90,000 to $105,000 per year, reflecting your skills and experience.
