Job Description

As a Senior Civil Engineer at Coffman Engineers, you'll be part of a collaborative, creative, and high-performing team that believes in making a difference for our clients and our communities. Coffman Engineers is seeking a highly skilled, self-motivated, technically minded Senior Civil Engineer (eight+ years) to join our team in applying engineering skills to challenging, rewarding projects. You will have the opportunity to mentor and lead civil engineers and designers, coordinate with clients and jurisdictions, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams. This role provides opportunities to work on energy and sustainability focused project with option to travel to project sites and meetings across the country. Hybrid flexibility is available for consideration; full remote work can be negotiated. We are looking for an enthusiastic self-starter eager to grow and have fun with us!

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, engineering, environmental science, or physics.
  • Current registration as a Civil Professional Engineer (PE) required.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in civil engineering site development required.
  • Engineering experience with design, permitting, and construction administration.
  • Experience with hydrologic and hydraulic calculations; technical studies; and preparation of site or public improvement grading, stormwater management, and utility plans required.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred.
  • Ability to lead projects independently and collaborate with other team members.
  • Technical mentorship of civil engineering team members
  • Effective technical writing and communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • A positive attitude with a focus on team and client success
  • Expected annual salary range depending on experience: $106,000-$134,000+
