Work Environment

This full-time position offers a remote work setting, allowing you to be part of our compassionate team from anywhere while still playing an essential role within our hospice center facility. You will engage in weekly collaborative meetings with therapists and care coordinators, ensuring continuity in patient care. Our work hours are flexible, extending from Monday to Friday, between 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM, with an openness to adjust your schedule according to patient demands.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments that respect and reflect patients' cultural backgrounds, utilizing tools that adapt to their unique experiences.
• Develop tailored treatment plans based on evidence-based practices, with a strong focus on inclusivity and respect for clients' identities.
• Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions, implementing therapeutic interventions designed to enhance patient resilience and coping strategies.
• Collaborate effectively with psychiatrists, psychologists, and additional mental health professionals to create a holistic approach to patient care.
• Provide crisis intervention during mental health emergencies, utilizing your training to de-escalate situations and ensure safety.
• Educate patients and their families about mental health issues, providing clear information on treatment modalities and community resources that support recovery.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential client records in accordance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
• Participate actively in team meetings, case conferences, and ongoing cultural competency training to enhance your skills and team cohesion.
• Stay abreast of the latest research and practices in mental health therapy, utilizing this knowledge to refine treatment techniques continually.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be individuals from various cultural backgrounds who seek support for a range of mental health challenges. These include anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues, among others. As a therapist specializing in multicultural care, you will champion the emotional well-being of clients who often face systemic barriers and cultural stigmas.

Qualifications

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid professional license as an LMFT, LMHC, or LICSW in Massachusetts.
• Thorough understanding of mental health disorders and a strong foundation in evidence-based treatment methods and cultural sensitivity.
• Experience providing therapy to individuals and groups, with a focus on culturally responsive practices.
• Demonstrated crisis intervention skills and the ability to maintain composure in high-stress situations.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a talent for establishing genuine rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and technological applications used in telehealth settings.
• A commitment to ethical practice, maintaining professional boundaries, and securing client confidentiality.
• A capacity for effective teamwork in a multidisciplinary environment, collaborating towards shared patient goals.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience working within community mental health settings or hospice care environments.
• Demonstrated history of providing services to underserved populations.
• Involvement in leadership roles or initiatives focused on enhancing cultural competency within mental health care.

Compensation and Benefits

The total compensation for this position ranges from USD 70,000 to 100,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
