BDR Solutions, LLC, (BDR) supports the U.S. Federal Government in successfully achieving its mission and goals. Our service and solution delivery starts with understanding each client's end-state, and then seamlessly integrating within each Agency's organization to improve and enhance business and technical operations and deployments.
BDR is seeking a Network Engineer to join our growing team! This position will be performed as a hybrid role with three (3) days on-site in Washington, D.C. This position requires US Citizenship with an Active Top Secret Clearance and SCI Eligibility

Role Overview
The Network Engineer will be responsible for maintaining computer networks and systems including LAN/WAN, Remote Access, VPN, routers, switches and other hardware.
Responsibilities
  • Installing and configuring network equipment to update or fix hardware or software issues
  • Updating virus protection software to keep data and communications protected
  • Monitoring computer systems to improve network performance for computer systems and networks
  • Communicating networking issues to other employees and management, especially in training new users
  • Fixing software and hardware configuration issues for users on-demand or from inspection of the systems
  • Implement, install, configure, monitor, troubleshoot and evaluate existing and new Cisco network switches, routers, Microsoft Windows servers and workstation operating systems.
  • Maintain network components, diagnostics and troubleshoot network devices.
  • Regularly confer with database programmers, analysts, other systems administrators, and users regarding current and prospective system changes and future needs.
  • Provide support to site-managed technical staff regarding system administration and usage.
  • Support efforts of technicians who are involved in diagnosing and correcting system related failures and performing system management activities; determine logical solutions to complex system administration and application problems.

Required Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, or related field, such as Computer Science or Information Technology or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years of proven experience designing, deploying, and managing large-scale Cisco networks
  • Experience of network engineering LAN/WAN
  • 5+ years of experience with Cisco VTC and Remote Access
  • Experience with routing protocols
  • Active Top Secret clearance

The salary compensation range for this position is 75,000-95,000. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
In addition, U.S Citizenship is required. Select applicants will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information and be able to obtain a government-granted security clearance. Individuals may also be subject to a background investigation including, but not limited to criminal history, employment and education verification, drug testing, and creditworthiness.
