Position Overview

The Account Manager plays a pivotal role in driving revenue growth through strategic account management and new business development. This remote position focuses on the U.S. Midwest and Great Lakes region and requires approximately 50% travel. The ideal candidate is proactive, highly organized, and skilled at cultivating long-term relationships with end users and channel partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Revenue & Growth
  • Achieve sales targets and profitability goals within assigned territory.
  • Expand market presence through new customer acquisition and introduction of new products to existing accounts.
  • Account Management
  • Build and maintain strong relationships across customer organizations, including Purchasing, Operations, and R&D.
  • Conduct regular business reviews to ensure customer satisfaction and identify growth opportunities.
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans tailored to each key client.
  • Market Intelligence & Communication
  • Monitor and report on market trends, competitive activity, and customer feedback through detailed call and monthly reports.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support product development and innovation based on customer needs.
  • Travel & Representation
  • Represent the company at client meetings, industry events, and trade shows as needed.
  • Maintain a high level of responsiveness and professionalism while traveling throughout the territory.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Business, or a related field (or equivalent relevant experience).
  • At least 3 to 5 years of experience in account management, sales, or business development, preferably within the chemical industry.
  • Demonstrated success in managing B2B accounts and driving sales growth.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant business tools.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to travel by car, air, or other means as required.
  • HI&I (Household, Industrial & Institutional), Personal Care, Oilfield Applications sectors experience a plus.
  • Technical background to complement commercial acumen.
  • Conversational or fluent in Spanish
