Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough, trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' histories and determine effective treatment approaches.
• Developing individualized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery, resilience-building, and evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
• Providing therapeutic modalities and interventions like Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).
• Facilitating individual and group therapy sessions tailored to help patients process their trauma and cultivate healthy coping strategies.
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals, to ensure integrated care and comprehensive treatment for patients.
• Offering crisis intervention and immediate support during trauma-related emergencies, effectively managing high-stress situations.
• Educating patients and their families on trauma responses, available resources, and coping strategies to enhance support systems.
• Maintaining precise and confidential documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring all records reflect each patient's journey.
• Participating in case consultations and team meetings to foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement in trauma-informed practices.
• Staying current with the latest research, methodologies, and best practices in trauma therapy to enhance professional knowledge and skillset.

You will be providing care to a diverse array of clients, primarily focusing on those who have experienced traumatic events and are navigating the complexities of trauma recovery. Your work will empower patients to heal, develop effective coping mechanisms, and regain their sense of agency and well-being.

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Texas.
• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure clinical experience in a mental health setting.
• Strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment approaches.
• Experience in delivering trauma-focused therapeutic interventions and maintaining a patient-centered approach.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities, with a compassionate demeanor and a non-judgmental approach.
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems to manage patient documentation effectively.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive patient care.

In addition to the qualifications listed, preference will be given to candidates who have:

• Experience working in telehealth settings and familiarity with teletherapy platforms.
• Specialized training in trauma-informed care, including workshops or certifications in EMDR or TF-CBT.
• Proven skills in crisis intervention and management.
