Job Overview

We are seeking experienced Engineering Technical Problem Authors to contribute their technical expertise to a project focused on advancing next-generation AI systems in engineering. In this role, you will create and evaluate challenging, real-world technical problems and assess AI-generated engineering responses for accuracy, rigor, and practical relevance.

Your engineering knowledge will help improve how AI systems reason through complex technical problems, apply engineering principles, and communicate technically sound solutions. No prior AI experience is required—your domain expertise and technical judgment are what matter most.

Scope of Work
  • Author and evaluate advanced technical problems across areas such as Aerodynamics, Materials Science, CAD/Mechanical Design, Mechanical Engineering, Circuit Design, and related disciplines.
  • Review AI-generated technical responses for correctness, engineering accuracy, completeness, and practical relevance.
  • Apply engineering judgment to real-world design, analysis, troubleshooting, and failure scenarios as well as theoretical problem contexts.
  • Analyze complex technical issues, identify ambiguities, and recommend clarifications to problem statements, assumptions, and conditions.
  • Develop technically rigorous problems that test analytical reasoning, engineering principles, calculations, and design judgment.
  • Provide structured written feedback and clear explanations to improve AI-generated technical reasoning.
  • Collaborate remotely with technical experts and project participants to maintain high-quality deliverables.
  • Document technical insights, identified weaknesses, and recommendations to support continuous improvement of AI models and problem sets.
Required Skills
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Aerodynamics
  • AutoCAD
  • Technical Problem Authoring
  • Engineering Analysis
  • Technical Documentation
  • Analytical Reasoning
  • Technical Review & Validation
  • Written and Verbal Communication
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced degree (MS or PhD) in a relevant engineering discipline, or substantial professional industry experience.
  • At least 5 years of hands-on technical experience in a relevant engineering field; deeper experience is preferred for Aerodynamics, Circuit Design, and Mechanical Engineering roles.
  • Demonstrated experience creating technically rigorous problems, such as through academic examinations, engineering competitions, licensure exams, standards committees, or technical assessment programs.
  • Experience with technical publications, patents, industry awards, competition results, committee participation, or other evidence of recognized technical expertise.
  • Professional-level English proficiency with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard engineering tools such as AutoCAD, CAD software, CFD/FEA platforms, EDA tools, simulation software, or laboratory equipment relevant to your specialty.
  • Ability to work independently and remotely while consistently delivering high-quality technical content within project timelines.
Compensation Structure

Compensation is output-based, with experts paid per task that meets the applicable project specifications and quality standards. The time required to complete each task may vary depending on the expert's experience and workflow.

Minimum submission requirements apply, and selected experts are expected to complete a minimum number of tasks per week.

Start Timeline & Availability

Roles are typically filled within 48 hours. Selected experts should be prepared to begin their first assignments within 24–48 hours of completing onboarding.
