Job description

A travel pharmacist opportunity is available at a small 50-bed hospital in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. This role is well-suited for professionals with hospital pharmacy experience who hold a valid Michigan pharmacist license and are comfortable working in a remote Northern Michigan location.

Responsibilities include verifying medication orders, supervising pharmacy technicians, consulting with physicians and nursing staff, and managing pharmacokinetics to optimize patient care. The position utilizes Cerner and Omnicell systems, requiring familiarity or adaptability with these IT platforms.

Schedule and Work Details:

  • 5 day shifts per week, 8 hours each
  • Start date: ASAP
  • Duration: 13 weeks with potential extension

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Active pharmacist license in Michigan
  • Previous hospital pharmacy experience preferred
  • Ability to oversee pharmacy techs and collaborate interdisciplinary
