• Conduct thorough assessments of clients' mental and emotional well-being, evaluating their individual needs, issues, and goals to formulate appropriate and effective treatment plans.
• Deliver individual therapy sessions to clients of various ages (children, adolescents, and adults), addressing an array of mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, grief, and trauma.
• Facilitate couples therapy sessions to assist partners in improving communication, resolving conflicts, and strengthening their relationship dynamics.
• Regularly review and adjust treatment plans based on evidenced progress and shifting client needs, ensuring a responsive approach to therapy.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records that include detailed progress notes, treatment plans, and case histories, utilizing secure, HIPAA-compliant documentation systems.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to provide holistic and coordinated care for clients, adapting strategies based on comprehensive evaluations.
• Provide crisis intervention and immediate support for clients experiencing acute distress or emergencies, implementing effective coping strategies to manage crises.
• Stay informed of the latest research, techniques, and best practices within the field of marriage and family therapy through ongoing professional development.
• Adhere to high ethical standards, maintaining strict confidentiality concerning client information while advocating for their rights and well-being.
• Encourage client self-care practices and wellness activities, contributing to their overall mental resilience and recovery.

• A Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or a related field.
• Active licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist through the New York State Board is required.
• Demonstrated experience in providing both individual and couples therapy.
• A strong background in working with children and adults, ensuring a multi-generational approach to therapy.
• Proficient in timely completion of client assessments, progress notes, and treatment plans.
• Effective communication skills to interact meaningfully with clients, their families, and relevant healthcare professionals.

• A minimum of two years of clinical experience in a counseling setting is preferred.
• Familiarity with various therapeutic modalities and evidence-based practices in marriage and family therapy.
• Experience utilizing teletherapy or remote counseling platforms is highly advantageous, ensuring effective and secure virtual service delivery.

This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 90,000 to 105,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
