Job Summary:
The Remote Case Manager serves as the primary point of contact for clients throughout their legal matter. This position is responsible for managing a high-volume caseload, maintaining regular communication with clients, collecting documentation, coordinating medical treatment and inspections, and ensuring each case progresses efficiently. The ideal candidate is highly organized, empathetic, detail-oriented, and able to work independently in a fast-paced remote environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a high-volume caseload while maintaining excellent client service.
- Communicate with clients via phone, email, text message, and Microsoft Teams.
- Conduct client intake interviews and gather case information.
- Request, organize, and review supporting documentation.
- Follow up with clients regarding outstanding documents and case updates.
- Coordinate inspections, medical appointments, expert evaluations, and other case-related appointments.
- Maintain accurate case notes and documentation in Clio (or the firm's case management system).
- Prepare correspondence, authorizations, and legal support documents.
- Monitor deadlines and ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.
- Work closely with attorneys, legal assistants, and other departments to move cases forward.
- Escalate urgent client concerns to supervising attorneys.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive client information.
- Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and ongoing process improvements.
Qualifications:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable working independently in a fully remote setting.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, Outlook, Teams, Adobe Acrobat, and case management software.
- Experience with Clio, MyCase, or other legal software is preferred.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
