Job description

Genesis10 is currently seeking an IT Developer - Remote position with a Major Energy Company located in Tulsa, OK. This is a 12-14 month contract opportunity.

We are seeking an experienced IT Developer to join a collaborative project team focused on delivering modern, scalable application solutions. This role will support the design, development, testing, and implementation of applications using C# and current .NET Core technologies. The developer will help build RESTful APIs, develop microservices, create interactive user interfaces with Blazor Server, and work with SQL Server or Oracle databases. This position will work closely with business analysts, architects, project managers, and other developers in an Agile/Scrum environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead medium to large software development efforts, including creation of technical requirements and design specifications, development, testing, and deployment of software
  • Prioritize assignments of other developers to ensure project completion in adherence to the project timeline
  • Complete complex software development assignments, including integration between multiple applications
  • Develop software solutions that adhere to coding standards and best practices, are scalable, reliable, and maintainable
  • Interface with Business Analysts and development team to ensure requirements are understood and met
  • Create and execute unit and system integration test cases/plans to ensure software quality
  • Interface with QA to ensure the application performs as expected
  • Troubleshoot and resolve high priority and/or complex production issues
  • Monitor application production environment to ensure application stability and proactively identify potential risks
  • Provide technical leadership and mentoring to other team members

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in MIS, Computer Science, Mathematics, Business Administration or a related field, or equivalent work experience
  • 5 to 7 years of relevant professional experience (minimum of 4 years required)
  • Demonstrated ability with development frameworks (.Net, Java, open source, etc.)
  • Demonstrated ability with software development principles and design patterns, including object-oriented design, N-Tier Architecture, Web Servers, and Internet Technologies
  • Experience in all aspects of application design and development, including high-performance design, multi-threaded programming, caching, security, and testing
  • Working knowledge of middleware concepts including messaging, EAI patterns, SOA, and B2B/A2A integration
  • Experience with database management systems
  • Working knowledge of technology infrastructure, including hardware sizing, network and operating systems, and server technologies
  • Experience with software development lifecycle methodology (Waterfall and Agile) and project management concepts
  • Experience interacting, advising and communicating effectively
  • Demonstrated ability to read and write fluently in English

  • Experience with cloud technologies, containers, enterprise integration patterns, and utility industry systems
