3322 - IS Technical Specialist
Job Description
Summary:
The IS Technical Specialist is responsible for designing, developing, supporting, and optimizing information systems and integrations that enable business operations and strategic initiatives. This role partners with business stakeholders, developers, vendors, and infrastructure teams to deliver reliable, secure, and scalable technical solutions across the enterprise. The ideal candidate has strong technical depth, a collaborative mindset, and experience working in complex, datadriven environments.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, implement, and support information systems, integrations, and data solutions aligned with business requirements
- Analyze business and technical requirements to recommend appropriate system architectures and integration approaches
- Develop, maintain, and support data movement and transformation processes, including ETL workflows
- Design, build, consume, test, and troubleshoot APIs to support systemtosystem integrations
- Monitor system performance, identify issues, and implement improvements to ensure availability, reliability, and security
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams including business analysts, developers, QA, infrastructure, and vendors
- Participate in system upgrades, enhancements, and technology modernization initiatives
- Create and maintain technical documentation, system diagrams, and operational procedures
- Support incident resolution and root cause analysis for production issues
- Follow established SDLC, change management, and security standards
- Possesses an in-depth knowledge of and works with the technical tools available for systems development and support.
- Maintains and demonstrates knowledge of technical industry trends, particularly as they apply to Huntington.
- May assist with identifying training needs or with training of less experienced staff.
- May serve as Technical leader for specific projects.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
