Job description

Sr. ProFee Specialty Coder – Vascular & Cardiology/EP

Remote | Contract-to-Hire | Full-Time


We are seeking an experienced Sr. Professional Fee Specialty Coder with experience in vascular, cardiology, and/or Electrophysiology (EP) procedural coding.


Position Details

  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
  • Contract: 3-month contract with potential for permanent hire
  • Location: Remote
  • EMR: EPIC


Responsibilities

  • Code professional fee diagnoses and procedures using ICD-10-CM and CPT guidelines.
  • Review medical records and clinical documentation for accurate coding.
  • Maintain at least 95% coding accuracy and meet productivity goals.
  • Identify missing or unclear documentation and submit provider queries when needed.
  • Work coding queues and resolve accounts in a timely manner.
  • Follow AHIMA coding standards and applicable compliance requirements.
  • Participate in coding audits and work with HIM/CDI teams as needed.
  • Work independently in a remote environment.


Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3–5 years of relevant coding experience after certification.
  • Current, verifiable coding certification; apprentice status is not accepted.
  • Strong professional fee coding experience.
  • Experience with EPIC.
  • Vascular, cardiology, and/or EP coding experience preferred.
  • Must be available full-time, Monday–Friday.
  • Must have a laptop and two monitors for remote work.
  • Online certification verification required.
