What you'll own

  • Multi-region OpenShift platform operations - Manage at scale 25+ OpenShift clusters across 6 AWS regions, ensuring reliability, security, and performance for payment services

  • Infrastructure as Code & GitOps - Design and maintain declarative infrastructure using Kubernetes manifests

  • Kubernetes Operators & automation - Build or integrate operators that simplify infrastructure management, reduce toil, and enable consumer teams to self-serve without platform team bottlenecks.

  • Observability & platform health - Own monitoring, alerting, and logging across the platform.

  • Container Security & compliance - Implement and maintain security controls to support payment services and regulatory requirements.

  • Incident response & troubleshooting - Debug platform issues across our fleet

What you'll bring

  • A bachelor's degree in computer engineering, computer science or other related discipline plus 5+ years of experience or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience

  • Solid experience and comfortable managing with container orchestration technologies in production (eg: RedHat OpenShift, Kubernetes)

  • Strong experience with containers and immutable infrastructure

  • Strong experience of working in Amazon Web Services (AWS)

  • Have knowledge of or demonstrable experience in programming languages (such as Python, Golang)

  • Experience with GitOps deployment tools such as argoCD or Flux

  • Experience in continuous integration and delivery tooling (eg: GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Terraform)

It's a bonus if you have

  • Experience of working in a global online business, ideally providing financial trades or transfers; of particular interest are payment companies, merchant providers, financial trading platforms and online gaming experience

  • Knowledge of security aspects of financial trading/monetary transfer systems; including but not limited to PCI Compliance, DDoS prevention, IDS, Container Security and regulatory audit requirements

  • Experience with running Apache Kafka on Kubernetes (architecture, components, producers, consumers, deployment, configuration, optimization, ZooKeeper, brokers etc)

  • Experience with running Persistence services on Kubernetes (redis etc)

  • Good knowledge of standard internet protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, DNS, HTTP and relevant troubleshooting tools and knowledge of Linux based operating systems
