They research topics, write articles, and often optimize content for search engines to attract readers. Remote blog writers can work as freelancers, part-time employees, or full-time staff for businesses, media outlets, or content agencies. Their work is mainly delivered digitally, and communication with clients or employers usually happens through email, chat, or project management tools.

In this role, you may interact with followers of the blog, post new blogs, and work with a content production team to manage and monetize the website. The role of blogger can fall into two broad categories. The first type of blogger focuses on a specific type of content, such as industry news or product reviews. The second type of blogger focuses on freelance work and writes on almost any subject. Job description

About Scanner

Companies should be able to ask any question of any real-world data set, even massive ones, and get an answer effectively instantly. That's the future we're building.

We're starting with security teams, who face this problem most acutely: searching massive log volumes to detect threats, investigate incidents, and hunt for compromised systems. We're expanding to infrastructure teams, DevOps, and SREs with similar challenges across observability data and system logs. Ultimately, any team dealing with large-scale data should have instant answers.

Scanner is a Security Data Lake that lets teams search and detect across petabytes of data in seconds, retain everything forever, and maintain full custody of their data.

Ramp, Notion, Confluent, and BeyondTrust use Scanner to analyze security logs faster, and on more data, than ever before. Our customers span fintech, healthtech, AI, and banking. At conferences like AWS re:Invent, we run 30+ demos over four days. The demand is real and scaling up.

We're also the Security Data Lake built for AI. More than a third of our customers have built agents on Scanner since we launched MCP support weeks ago, for automated investigation, detection engineering, and alert triage. Traditional systems are too slow and expensive for AI to iterate on. Scanner isn't.

We're 25 full-time, funded by Sequoia, CRV, SVCI, and Mantis VC, and growing fast. You'll join a high-trust team where your work shapes our story, pipeline, and revenue trajectory.

The Role

Own the end-to-end marketing engine: narrative, website, case studies, product launches and campaigns, and sales enablement-while building genuine, trusted relationships with security teams and customers.

You won't be alone. Our CEO, Head of Product, Head of DG, and Head of Ops work hands-on with marketing: writing content, planning events, and shipping campaigns alongside you. You'll lead the function, but this is a team sport.

What you'll own
  • Product positioning and messaging architecture, translating it into clear narratives across the website, blog, decks, campaigns, and customer-facing assets.
  • Lead content production: one-pagers, case studies and customer stories, landing/solution pages, launch and campaign copy, customer newsletters, and non-technical blog posts.
  • Drive executive and social storytelling, including LinkedIn/X ghostwriting for founders and key leaders to amplify product narratives and launches.
  • Support event and field marketing, our most important demand-gen channel, by owning how Scanner shows up before, during, and after events. Partner with our sales and operations teams to define messaging and content, including figuring out which product launch to center each event around, ย so every conference, dinner, or meetup feels consistent and high-impact. Goal: Scanner is everywhere our buyers go.
  • Partner on sales enablement. Collaborate with the GTM team to co-create and maintain high-impact decks, objection-handling guides, and competitive battlecards that accelerate live deals. Ensure the GTM team is fully equipped to sell the latest product narrative through consistent launch and feature communications.
  • Lead ongoing market, persona, and competitive work: persona research and ICP refinement, competitive analysis/mapping, and community engagement.
What you bring
  • 5+ years of experience marketing security, infrastructure, or technical B2B products.
  • Hands-on, senior IC mentality. You personally own positioning, narratives, launches, and pipeline-impacting assets rather than optimizing for team-building.
  • Fluent across core GTM levers: product positioning, content production, sales enablement, and competitive insights. Partner with demand gen to build a cohesive strategy around campaign launches.
  • Sales-first view: you build collateral that actually gets used and measure enablement by win-rate and sales cycle impact.
  • Bias to ship: rapid testing, clean reporting, and tight stakeholder communication.
  • Ability to work directly with founders to shape GTM strategy and execute experiments from concept through launch.
Why you'll love working here
  • "Be wrong" is a value. Experimentation over perfectionism. We try things, learn fast, and iterate.
  • We genuinely like our customers. We're in Slack with them daily. They shape the product, and we enjoy making their lives easier. "Surprise and delight" isn't a slogan here, it's how we operate.
  • We take care of each other. Small team, no politics, people who actually want to see you succeed.
  • Real ownership, real speed. You own marketing end-to-end. 11-person company. Your ideas ship in days, not quarters.
Compensation & Benefits

Competitive salary, meaningful equity, and comprehensive benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k, commuter). Remote-friendly with optional in-person collaboration in San Francisco, Mountain View, and Seattle.
