The Education Specialist assists, faculty, students and Education Program Leadership. This individual is expected to exercise initiative, exhibit organizational skills, and use problem solving and decision-making skills to perform tasks. The Education Specialist will work in conjunction with faculty to develop educational materials/ courses/programs for the Department or Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science.
This position will support the MCGSBS Curriculum.
This position is a combination of remote and on-site work; individual must live within a 100 mile driving distance to the Jacksonville, Phoenix or Rochester Mayo Clinic campus.

Bachelor's degree required with 5 or more years of experience in education, business or health related field is required.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to work with minimal direction. Proven ability to support development of education and training programs. Demonstrated strong skills in communication, problem solving and decision making. Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of a team supporting students, new employees and/or faculty. Demonstrated education experience in instructional design related background. Must have excellent written and oral communication skills. Must develop mastery of the policies and procedures related to education and training programs. Database experience and systems knowledge are required. Proficiency with technology and software to enhance classroom learning and manage program data is preferred (e.g. Banner, Brightspace, Microsoft Office 365 suite etc.) . Must be adaptable and flexible in a changing work environment where constant learning and skill enhancement is needed. Must have excellent writing and editing skills for preparation of professional correspondence, meeting agendas and minutes. Must have the ability to independently compose correspondence including letters, e-mails and announcements that are sensitive, confidential, and diplomatic.
