What is a remote biomedical tissue engineer?

Remote Biomedical Tissue Engineers are professionals who use engineering principles to develop, test, and improve biological tissues and medical devices, but work from a remote location rather than in a traditional laboratory or office. They often collaborate virtually with healthcare providers, researchers, and other engineers to design tissue scaffolds, conduct data analysis, and develop solutions for regenerative medicine. Utilizing advanced software, remote communication tools, and sometimes remote-controlled laboratory equipment, they contribute to tissue engineering projects without needing to be on-site. This role combines expertise in biology, materials science, and engineering with the flexibility of remote work. The position is ideal for those who want to contribute to cutting-edge biomedical advancements while working from home or other remote settings.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a remote biomedical tissue engineer?

To thrive as a Remote Biomedical Tissue Engineer, you need a solid background in biomedical engineering or related fields, with expertise in tissue engineering principles and cellular biology, typically supported by a relevant degree or advanced certification. Proficiency in 3D modeling software, CAD tools, cell culture systems, and data analysis platforms is essential for designing and evaluating tissue constructs remotely. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and effective virtual communication are important soft skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams and managing complex projects from a distance. These skills and qualities are crucial for advancing innovative tissue engineering solutions while ensuring accuracy and effective teamwork in a remote setting.

What are some unique challenges faced by remote biomedical tissue engineers, and how can they be effectively managed?

Remote biomedical tissue engineers often encounter challenges related to collaboration and access to laboratory resources, as much of the work involves hands-on experimentation and close coordination with multidisciplinary teams. To manage these challenges, engineers typically rely on robust digital communication tools, regular virtual meetings, and detailed project management systems to stay aligned with colleagues. Additionally, they may coordinate with on-site staff to oversee experiments and gather data, ensuring compliance with protocols and maintaining research quality. Effective time management and proactive communication are key to thriving in this remote role.

Job description

**Role is hybrid in Atlanta, GA or Remote in East or Central timezones

Lead Product Manager

Come join a team of talented builders and sustainability enthusiasts building critical digital infrastructure required to scale the carbon market - a market expected to grow from $2B to $49B by 2035. Cloverly is the operating system for project developers (suppliers) of carbon credits -- like the "B2B Shopify" of carbon credits. We've made big strides already, with a core vertical SaaS product and API that enables organizations to scale their sales, operations, and inventory management, but we know this is just the beginning. That's where you come in.

What you'll be doing

As a Lead Product Manager at Cloverly, you'll own the end-to-end lifecycle of the Catalyst product for carbon project developers and the interrelated Supply Link product for intermediaries. You'll report to the CEO and work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, sales, and customer success, to define and prioritize a roadmap that aligns with our goals and user needs. You'll create a new category in a wide open market. You'll be at the center of bringing our vision of creating gigaton-scale impact to life.

Your day-to-day will look like:

  • Shape Product Strategy: Collaborate with the leadership team  to define and champion a bold vision for our platform. Build a data-informed roadmap that balances short-term wins with long-term impact to ensure we're meeting both customer and business goals.
  • Lead Discovery Efforts: Leverage customer interviews, market research, and critical thinking to identify root problems and high-impact opportunities. Translate insights into actionable product hypotheses, validated through testing and iteration.
  • Prioritize and Execute: Ruthlessly prioritize initiatives based on business value, technical feasibility, and customer need. Manage trade-offs and communicate decisions clearly to cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Refine and Improve: Act as the voice of the customer by deeply understanding their needs and representing them internally. Gather user feedback, analyze what's working (and what's not), and identify opportunities to improve the product. Advocate for creative solutions that balance customer needs with business goals, ensuring both are served to maximize impact and drive results.
  • Facilitate Collaboration: Foster alignment across distributed and remote teams by serving as the connective tissue between engineering, GTM, and customer success. Ensure efficient execution of product initiatives by proactively sharing updates, insights, and next steps with all stakeholders, maintaining transparency and driving collaboration across functions.
  • Continuous Improvement: Proactively seek feedback from users, peers, and stakeholders. Invest in learning opportunities to deepen your understanding of climate tech and product management best practices.
Who you are
  • Curious.
  • Hungry. Determined. Competitive. Proactive.
  • Fast at learning, deciding, executing. You are a pacesetter.
  • Have strong deductive reasoning, able to make good decisions with imperfect information.
  • Strong bias for action. Top tier at getting stuff done.
  • Creative problem solver.
  • Able to comprehend and simplify the complex, while still having a strong grasp on the details.
  • Thrive in ambiguity.
  • Agile and flexible. You can iterate quickly as things change or new information is learned.
  • Great collaborator.
  • Strong at facilitating effective, pragmatic processes to shape strategy, make decisions, and execute.
  • Excellent at both strategy and tactical.

Required Experience

  • 5-10+ years of experience in product management, with a track record of delivering successful products in a fast-paced, agile environment.
  • Experience in vertical SaaS, fintech, marketplaces, or B2B SaaS products is highly desirable; familiarity with the climate tech or sustainability industry is a plus.
