This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sales Account Manager, Molecular Biology and Protein based in Netherlands.

This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially driven life sciences professional to combine scientific expertise with strategic business development in a highly innovative biotechnology environment. The role focuses on expanding market presence, building strong customer relationships, and driving revenue growth across molecular biology and protein-related solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional international teams, contribute to market development initiatives, and support researchers and organizations in advancing scientific discovery. This position offers a dynamic and multicultural setting where technical knowledge, customer engagement, and strategic thinking are highly valued. The role provides significant autonomy while allowing you to make a direct impact on business growth and customer success across the region.

Accountabilities
  • Develop and execute sales strategies and tactical plans to achieve revenue and profitability objectives within the assigned territory.
  • Identify new market opportunities, applications, and customer segments to drive business expansion.
  • Build, maintain, and strengthen long-term relationships with key accounts and strategic customers.
  • Collaborate closely with marketing, technical, and cross-functional teams to maximize opportunities and secure business in competitive environments.
  • Gather and share market intelligence, customer insights, and competitive information to support strategic decision-making.
  • Manage and maintain sales pipelines, customer activities, and forecasting data through CRM systems.
  • Represent the organization professionally while promoting advanced molecular biology and protein solutions to research and biotechnology customers.
Requirements
  • MSc or PhD in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Genetics, or another relevant Life Sciences discipline.
  • Hands-on laboratory experience and strong technical expertise within the life sciences sector.
  • Previous experience in sales, account management, or business development within biotechnology, life sciences, or CRO environments is highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of biological research markets and familiarity with areas such as gene synthesis, proteins, peptides, antibodies, or cell line development services.
  • Fluency in English and French, with French proficiency at C1 level or above.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in international, cross-functional, and multicultural environments.
  • Strong organizational skills with experience managing sales pipelines and CRM tools.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30% as required.
