Job description

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced, highly organized, and self-motivated HR, Recruiting, and Compliance Specialist to join our growing team. In this fully remote role, you will bridge the gap between talent acquisition, regulatory compliance, and daily human resources operations. You will partner closely with department managers to source and onboard top-tier language interpreters, ensure all active contractors/employees maintain rigorous industry compliance, and directly support the Director of Operations with core HR initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

1. Full-Cycle Recruiting & Sourcing

  • Collaborate with department managers to identify interpreting talent needs across various languages and specializations.
  • Post job openings, screen resumes, conduct initial interviews, and coordinate final evaluations.
  • Build talent pipelines to ensure rapid fulfillment of client language requests.

2. Compliance & Credential Management

  • Own the compliance lifecycle for all interpreters, verifying required certifications, background checks, medical records, and language proficiencies.
  • Monitor credential expiration dates proactively and correspond regularly with interpreters to secure renewals.
  • Maintain meticulous, audit-ready digital records in compliance with company and industry standards (e.g., HIPAA, court certifications).

3. HR Support & Operations

  • Assist the Director of Operations with employee/contractor onboarding, offboarding, and contract management.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for interpreter inquiries regarding company policies and administrative issues.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience: Minimum of 2–3 years of proven experience in a combined HR, recruiting, and/or compliance role.
  • Remote Proficiency: Demonstrated ability to work independently from home, manage time effectively, and maintain productivity without direct supervision.
  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate professionally and empathetically with diverse, multilingual populations.
  • Adaptability: Proven track record of thriving in a fast-paced, high-volume, and evolving operational environment.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with ZipRecruiter, Google, Microsoft Word  and other Operation platforms.

What We Offer

  • Fully remote work environment with a high degree of autonomy.
  • Competitive full-time salary and benefits package.
  • Opportunity to work with a collaborative, mission-driven team.
