Primary Responsibilities:

  • These represent a significant portion of the day-to-day work and require candidates with strong production operations, incident management, release management, disaster recovery, and service reliability experience. 
  • Lead production support activities for critical customer-facing applications and services.
  • Coordinate application release activities, deployment planning, implementation execution, and post-release validation.
  • Manage change requests throughout the approval and implementation lifecycle.
  • Lead or coordinate P1 and P2 incident response efforts, including war room facilitation and stakeholder communications
  • Drive Root Cause Analysis (RCA) activities and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
  • Present incident reviews and service improvement recommendations to leadership teams.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute Disaster Recovery (DR) exercises across Stage and Production environments.
  • Partner with Engineering and DevOps teams to identify and remediate security vulnerabilities and compliance findings.
  • Coordinate monthly security scanning and remediation activities with QA and partner teams.
  • Support operational governance activities, including service reviews, PLM reviews, and reliability initiatives.
  • Maintain CMDB and Configuration Item (CI) documentation and operational records.
  • Manage operational forecasts, capacity planning, and health service reporting.
  • Collaborate with third-party vendors and external partners to resolve service requests and production issues.
  • Review upcoming infrastructure and application changes to ensure operational readiness and risk mitigation.
  • Support cloud platform operations, including Kubernetes, Kafka, GCP, and HCP Console technologies.
  • Coordinate onboarding of Kafka topics, event streams, and related data integrations.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on automation, reliability, performance, and operational efficiency.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or 6 years of software engineering experience
  • 8 years of experience in object-oriented programming language JAVA
  • 5 years' experience as a lead production support for critical customer-facing applications and services.
  • 3 years of leading or coordinating P1 and P2 incident response efforts, including war room facilitation and stakeholder communications
  • 3 years of experience with any one public cloud platform like AWS or Azure or GCP
  • 2 years of experience with container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
  • 1 years of experience with automation and scripting tools such as Python and Bash

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with development teams, stakeholders, and management
  • Experience in problem-solving skills on complex technical issues and a proactive attitude towards identifying and addressing potential issues
  • Experience with public cloud platforms, hybrid cloud environments, and migration strategies
  • Experience with REST API design, micro services, and event driven architecture
  • Experience with configuration and deployment management tools such as Ansible, Terraform
  • Experience with configuration and maintenance of services such as load balancers, relational & NoSQL databases, and messaging systems
  • Experience in monitoring and alerting tools such as Datadog, Prometheus, and Grafana
  • Experience with incident response and post-mortem analysis
  • Demonstrated excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with development teams, stakeholders, and management

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $112,700 to $193,200 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
