What is a remote Azure 104?

A Remote Azure 104 job typically refers to a position that involves working with Microsoft Azure cloud services from a remote location, focusing on tasks covered by the Azure Administrator Associate certification (Exam AZ-104). Professionals in this role are responsible for implementing, managing, and monitoring identity, governance, storage, compute, and virtual networks in a cloud environment. This job requires knowledge of Azure services, security, and the ability to troubleshoot and optimize Azure solutions, all while working remotely using online collaboration tools.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a remote Azure Administrator (AZ-104), and why are they important?

To excel as a Remote Azure Administrator (AZ-104), you need a solid understanding of Microsoft Azure services, networking, security, and experience with cloud infrastructure, often validated by passing the Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) exam. Job description

Work with a Top 20 CPA and advisory firm that Accounts for Anything.  Aprio has 40 U.S. office locations, as well as international office locations and more than 3,200 team members that speak 60+ languages across the globe.  By bringing together proven expertise, deep understanding, and strategic foresight for fast-growing industries, Aprio ensures clients are prepared for wherever life or business may take them. Discover a top-rated culture, vast growth opportunities and your next big career move with Aprio.

Join Aprio's Information Technology team and you will help clients maximize their opportunities. Aprio is a progressive, fast-growing firm looking for a Senior AI Product Associate, IT  to join their dynamic team.

Aprio is seeking an IT Product Owner to drive AI-enabled platform initiatives across the firm as it becomes a tech-enabled accounting and advisory firm. These roles own the day-to-day product lifecycle of custom, generative-AI tools that transform how Aprio delivers services across practice areas.  This is a US-based, onshore role central to the AI Council's initiatives and the firm's overall technology strategy.

Position Responsibilities:

Product Ownership & Delivery:

  • Own the product vision, roadmap, and backlog for assigned AI platforms across various Aprio business lines.
  • Translate complex domain and practice requirements into clear, actionable user stories, acceptance criteria, and product specifications.
  • Lead the full development lifecycle — scoping, sprint planning, QA, and rollout — coordinating onshore and offshore development resources.
  • Work closely with Engineering, tax accountants, and other cross functions to deliver and improve the platforms.
  • Prioritize features and balance near-term delivery with long-term platform scalability and maintainability.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Run structured requirements-gathering sessions with subject matter experts across the relevant practice or business area.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and decisions clearly to practitioners and firm leadership.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned platforms, owning outcomes with transparency.

AI & Innovation:

  • Apply generative-AI capabilities relevant to professional services — LLMs, document intelligence, agentic workflows, and structured output generation.
  • Test and validate AI models, APIs, and tooling (e.g., Anthropic Claude, OpenAI, Azure AI) for integration into Aprio's platforms.
  • Support responsible AI practices, including data privacy, data residency, and client confidentiality considerations (e.g., §7216 consent where applicable).

Qualifications:

Required:

  • 5+ years in product management, technology, operations, or consulting, with experience owning multi-stakeholder initiatives end-to-end. At least 2-3 of those years working on (internal or external facing) SaaS products.
  • Strong product management fundamentals: roadmapping, backlog ownership, sprint planning, acceptance testing, and release coordination.
  • Familiarity with generative-AI tools and platforms, including hands-on prompting and testing of AI APIs.
  • Ability to quickly learn new domains and translate complex workflows into product requirements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to convey technical concepts to professionals and executives.
  • Experience coordinating software development resources, including offshore or contract developers.

Preferred:

  • Experience in public accounting or professional services.
  • Exposure to agentic AI workflows, RAG architectures, or LLM integration patterns.
  • Familiarity with the Microsoft 365 ecosystem (SharePoint, Teams, Power Platform).
  • Familiarity with relevant domain software ecosystems (e.g., for tax: CCH Axcess, GoSystems, TaxCaddy).

$104,400 - $160,500 a year

The salary range for this opportunity is stated above. As such, an actual salary may fall closer to one or the other end of the range, and in certain circumstances, may wind up being outside of the listed salary range.

The application window is anticipated to close on August 10, 2026 and may be extended as needed.
