What You’ll Do

 

As a Senior AWS DevOps Engineer, you’ll play a key role in building, scaling, and operating cloudnative SaaS products while helping shape how we deliver software at scale.

  • Design, develop, and deliver productiongrade SaaS applications on AWS, applying strong software engineering fundamentals alongside DevOps best practices
  • Lead and contribute to servicebased architectures, building systems that are scalable, resilient, secure, and maintainable
  • Leverage AWS services such as EKS, ECS, and Lambda to support highavailability applications and modern deployment patterns
  • Write clean, maintainable code and actively participate in code reviews, setting a high bar for quality and consistency
  • Contribute to architectural decisions that balance performance, security, cost efficiency, and longterm platform health
  • Define, provision, and optimize cloud infrastructure using Terraform and Terragrunt, with a focus on reliability and costaware design
  • Share ownership of CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation, contributing to infrastructureascode and automated releases using tools like Jenkins and Argo CD
  • Partner closely with QA and engineering teams to promote shiftleft testing, automated quality checks, and early defect detection
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across production and nonproduction environments, ensuring minimal downtime and strong system performance
  • Participate fully in Agile practices—sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives—while collaborating crossfunctionally to deliver meaningful outcomes
  • Continuously look for ways to improve developer workflows, system observability, and operational excellence

Requirements

 

  • Must be a US Citizen
  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with demonstrated ownership of production systems
  • Proven experience building, deploying, and scaling SaaS applications on AWS, using servicebased architecture
  • Strong expertise in DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Argo CD), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and infrastructure as code (Terraform, Terragrunt)
  • Handson experience with AWS services, including EKS, and operating applications in production environments
  • Strong proficiency in one or more modern programming languages and frameworks (e.g., Node.js, JavaScript, Handlebars, or similar)
  • Advanced debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization skills, particularly in complex production systems
  • Experience working within Agile development methodologies, using tools such as Jira
  • Familiarity with data and search technologies such as Redis, MongoDB, and Elasticsearch

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working on dataintensive platforms or complex workflows
  • Background in law enforcement or related industries is a plus
